Show Socialist Party Information Needed Information about activities ac-tivities and members of the Socialist Party in Iron County, active in the early 1900's, is wanted by the Southern Utah State College Library. "Any materials making reference to the party, either in diaries, correspondence, or through other written records is wanted, both for research being undertaken at SUSC and for a patron seeking information from Northern Utah," Inez Cooper, SUSC special collections librarian said. Also wanted is biographical information about the following party members: John C. Gower, Cory Gower, James W. Chatterley, Thomas S. Bladen, Frank B. Webster, Alice J. Urie, James Tweedie, Barbara Tweedie, O. P. Fretwell, Daniel T. Leigh , H. H. McConnell, and George E. Perry, Cedar City; and Clark W. Lyman,. M. H. Gunn, Isaac Bozarth and C.C. Bladen, Iron County. "For years, reference has been made in conversation about an active Socialist Party in Iron County, and we know that a Socialist mayor was elected here in 1911, but other than that we haven't been able to corroborate hearsay with written information," in-formation," Mrs. Cooper said. .
