Show t Zion Impact Statement not Necessary Park Superintendent Robert C. Heyder announced thatZion National Park has completed an Environmental En-vironmental Assessment covering the establishment of an air quality monitoring station and its attendant powerline. This station will monitor air visibility in the lower Zion Canyon area. After making an Environmental En-vironmental Review of the establishment of the air quality monitoring station, the National Park Service has decided not to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement. The Environmental Assessment and Review are on file and available for inspection at Zion National Park headquarters, Springdale, Utah 84767; Cedar Breaks National Monument headquarters, 82 North 100 East, Cedar City, Utah 84720; and the Utah State Director's office, 125 South State Street, Room 3418, Salt Lake City, Utah 84138 for 30 days. The assessment considers the resources, available altenatives, their impacts, i mitigating values, adverse J effects, a brief description of the alternative selected as the proposed action, and any additional considerations providing a basis for the conclusion that an Environmental En-vironmental Impact Statement is not needed. |
