The Cedar City Chamber of Commerce presents a personalized per-sonalized gold plated spike plaque to Lerin Porter for his contribution of over 3,000 railroad spikes from the old Cedar City spur of the Union Pacific Railroad. C of C present plaques to Donators The Cedar City Chamber of Commerce will present personalized gold plated plaques to donators who contribute at least $25 to their building fund drive to retire the debt on the new Chambef of Commerce building. The plaques have spikes from the original Union Pacific Railroad spur in Cedar City. Over 3,000 of these spikes were donated to the Chamber by Lerin Porter who now owns this property. The fund drive, headed by Greg Tage, will start the week of Nov. 6 and local businesses and citizens can contribute by calling the Chamber of Commerce at 586-4484. Carter bought the first plaque kicking off the building fund drive which starts on Nov. 6. The drive is to retire the debt on the new Chamber of Commerce building. The personalized plaques are given for donations of $25 or more and orders will be taken by the Chamber of Commerce by calling 586-4484. |
