Show Paragonah Town Board notes new improvements and developments in town By Mrs. Hilma Lamoreaux At the Board meeting of the Faragonah town held March 10, 1972 the Board divided to submit an article to the Iron County Record telling of recent re-cent developments and future plans for our Town. , A small fire truck was re-cently re-cently donated to. the Town ,'by Utah State Forestry and ; Plans are to form a volunteer .fire department. . It has been decided to purchase pur-chase a back hoe to be used on the city streets and cemetery ceme-tery and also to be rented to 1 townspeople on the condition our operator goes with it. -Many improvements have been made at the .cemetery. A chain link fence now improves the south cemetery line complete com-plete with new cattle guard, a large aluminum gate at the main entrance and a pedestrian pedest-rian gate. Water lines were run through the cemetery which provides water for sprinkling purposes. The Town Board would like to commend all who have planted grass and shrubs to beautify the place and would appreciate hearing how lot owners feelj about having pereptual care. A clean up campaign is set for Saturday. March lSih beginning beginn-ing at 9:00 A.M. and everyone every-one is urged to help. The town is sponsoring a lunch lor the workers to be served at the site by the Ward Relief Socio- Townspeople are reminded to dump their trash in the pits provided at the dump ground east of town. In the past trash has been scattered scatter-ed from the highway to the pit and even on private ground in the immediate area. The Board is aware of the need for improvement on the City streets and hope to effect ef-fect the same. Bids were called for last fall from electrical contractors with the intention of building a new- electrical system but the bids were prohibitive meaning either bounding or having the work done price-meal. price-meal. The new water system seems to be proving satisfactory and even the residents of the East part of town have water all the time. There has been some complaint of the "chlorine" taste in the water.
