Show I Ceremony set for Lake Powell on June 9 river voyage 100 years ago, and to his later accomplishments accomplish-ments in the conservation of natural resources. A replica of one of Powell's 18G9 boats that was built for the Walt Disney motion picture pic-ture 'Ten Who Dared" will be on display at the ceremony site. Actual site for the ceremony Is at a developed overlook along Lakeshore Drive, about two miles from Glen Canyon Dam. A special, commemorative ceremony In honor of Major John Wesley Powell has been scheduled for June 19, 10:30 a. m., on the shore of Lake Powell Just upstream from Glen Canyon Dam. The ceremony, cere-mony, sponsored by the Bureau Bur-eau of Reclamation and the National Park Service, Is held In connection with the Nation-al Nation-al Powell Centennial Clebra-tion. Clebra-tion. Governor Calvin Rampton of Utah, Governor Jack Williams of Arizona, and Chairman Ray. mond Nakai of the Navajo Tribe will all provide welcoming welcom-ing remarks. James R. Smith, assistant secretary of the Interior In-terior for water and power, will provide the principal address. ad-dress. Floyd E. Dominy, commissioner com-missioner of reclamation, will also appear on the program, as will a representative of the National Park Service. Master Mas-ter of ceremonies will be Professor Pro-fessor David E. Miller of the Western History Section, University Uni-versity of Utah.
