PHS Lettermen hold first awards dinner The first Lcttcrmen's Banquet Ban-quet of the PHS was held recently. re-cently. All of the members , of the club were present with their parents. The Rammette Club prepared and served the meal. Miss Christine Dotson sang several songs and we had Dick Rosctta of The Salt Lake Tribune as a special guest speaker for the event. Trophies were awarded to the best athletes in each individual in-dividual sport participated in by the school. Larger trophies were given to the most enthusiastic en-thusiastic athlete and also to the best student nthlete. The largest trophy went to the best all-around athlete for the four years in school. Here is how the trophies went: For the best football player, Eugene Adams; best basketball basket-ball player, Robbie Topham; best wrestler, Gary Jones; best tennis player, Johnny Orton; best golfer, Paul Dotson; best baseball player, Ken Farnsworth, Farns-worth, best trackster, Scott Guffey; most enthusiastic athlete, ath-lete, Keith Stubbs; best student stud-ent athlete, Keith Adams, for the best all-around athlete, Del Hulet. We hope we have started a new tradition at the PHS. |
