Show T-Bird Baseball Team Sets Double-Header Weather permitting, and 11 hasn't permitted on a num-"ber num-"ber of occasions, the College of Southern Utah Thunder-bird Thunder-bird baseball team will meet Rangely College in a double-header double-header Saturday afternoon. Game time is set for 1 p. m. on the CSU diamond and the Thunderbirds wil be out after their fourth and fifth victories victor-ies of the season. Last Saturday afternoon the T-Birds and Brlgham Young University Cougars were cancelled can-celled out owing to weather, resulting in two weeks without with-out a game for Coach Cleo Petty and his crew. Provided the T-Birds get in their games Saturday, they are slated to meet Westminster Westmins-ter College of Salt Lake City in a double-header the following follow-ing Saturday at 1 p. m., also in Cedar City, to wind up the season. A lack of hitting has plagued the T-Birds throughout through-out this season and inability to get outdoors for hitting over the past two weeks, only on a limited basis, threatens to make that an issue for the T-Birds in Saturday's games. The Rangely crew from Colorado Colo-rado is likely, however, to be somewhat in the same boat with weather hampering the entire Intermountain area all spring. Larry Eyre and Reid Kimo-to Kimo-to are possible starters for the two games Saturday, but Coach Cleo Petty has a number num-ber of reliefers available, headed up by lefty Mike Erling. t d |
