Dee El Stapley, standing, and jQuenton Bowler of the North Elementary will participate par-ticipate in NDEA study programs. Two Teachers Get Special NDEA Grants and the last nine years as a teacher in the North Elementary Elemen-tary in Cedar City. Bowler will enter Sonoma State College in Rohnert Park, Calif., on June 19 for an NDEA sponsored summer course in reading. The course will run through Aug 4. Bowler is in his first year of teaching. He is a graduate of College of Southern Utah and has done graduate work at the University Universi-ty on Nevada at Reno, prior to joining the Iron County School District. Two teachers in the North Elementary School have received re-ceived National Defense Education Edu-cation Act grants for special studies during the summer. They are Dee El Stapley, sixth grade teacher, and Quen-ton Quen-ton Bowler, fifth grade teacher. teach-er. Stapley received a grant for a seven week school on Latin American history at Loretta-Height Loretta-Height University in Denver, Colo. The special course opens on June 12 and continues through July 28. Stapley has been in the educational field for ten years, serving one year in the Murray School system |
