Show Final Rites Accorded Joseph H. Heaps : lard E. Joseph Henry Heaps, 81, father fa-ther of Mr. D. Ned (Edna) Sargent Sar-gent of Cedar City, died of natural causes on Wednesday, Feb. 21, in an Am-ercan Fork hospital. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted in American Fork Saturday Sa-turday afternoon, and burial was in the American Fork City Ci-ty cemetery Mr. Heaps was bom May 27, 1880, in Escalante, a son of Willard and Beatrice Twitchell Heaps. Ho married Alice Maria Gates on October 19, 1904. marriage was later solemnized solemniz-ed in the Mantl LDS temple.. She died April 20, 1908. On Feb. 22, 1910, Mr. Heaps married mar-ried Clara Minerva Riddle. Both marriages were solem-ized solem-ized in the Manti Temple. He was engaged in farming and livestock raising through most of his life. Survivors include his widow, and the following sons and daughters: Verge, Orem; Mrs. Lera (Corine) Schow, Salt Lake City; Mrs. D. Ned (Edna) Sargent, Cedar City; Mrs. Mil- |
