Show Dairy Stockholders Hear Report, Re-name Officers At the annual meeting of stockholders of the Southern Utah Dairy Co-op last week two members were re-elected to the board of directors and the annual financial report of the company was given. Those present were told that although al-though the volume of business was down slightly, the co-op-, erative showed a profit and was in very good condition. Men renamed to the board ! of directors were Roy Benson, Sr. and Ray Morris, who have been directors of the co-op for several years. They were reelected re-elected by acclamation. Other members of the board are H. Revere Robinson, Warren A. Dalton and Carl Morris, who were elected last year. The report showed that the sales in the dairy and feeds departments were down from last year as well as sales of groceries. Total sales for the year were $215,854, the cost of merchandise merchan-dise sold was $172,301, leaving leav-ing a gross profit of $43,554. Other income coming from custom grinding and weighing, weigh-ing, milk hauling, locker rent and services, interest and miscellaneous, mis-cellaneous, $11,683, for a total of $55,236. Expenses listed in the report re-port were: Wages, $31,646; miscellaneous items, including includ-ing taxes, depreciation, power and fuel costs, etc., were $19,-975, $19,-975, for a total of $51,621. This left a net profit for the year of $3,615. |
