Show Warren H. Bulloch Honored by By National Guard Warren H. Bulloch, prominent promin-ent Cedar City businessman and civic leader, was one of six Utahns honored Thursday at the Utah National Guard's eighth annual Minuteman Awards Banquet for their extraordinary ex-traordinary contributions to the Guard. More than 100 officers, business busi-ness and civic leaders from throughout the stat? and their partners attended the formal affair at the Ft. Douglas Of-licers Of-licers Club in Salt Lake City. Major General Maurice L. Watts, Utah Adjutant General, presented the honored guests with Minuteman statuettes, re plicas of the famous Minute man statue in Concord, Mas'-The Mas'-The banquet was held in conjunction con-junction with the birthday of America's foremost Minute-man. Minute-man. Georfre Washington. Gen. Watts noted the Min uteman trophies are aimed at presenting a constant "thank you" from the Utah National Guard. j Mr. Bulloch was honored for his "leadership in and association asso-ciation with the Guard and as a member of the Honorary Colonel Corps of Utah which had an extremely favorable effect in shaping public un derstanding." Others honored were President Presi-dent Hugh B. Brown, First Counselor to the First Presidency Presi-dency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; Col. Robert D. Elkins, senior Army advisor to the Utah National Na-tional Guard; Winston J. Fillmore, Fill-more, Ogden business and civ-vic civ-vic leader; ohn W. Gallivan, publisher of the Salt Lake Tribune; Dr. Avard A. Rigby, ; State Department of Educa-i Educa-i tion administrator, and David I L. Wolpcr, film producer. I |
