Show CSU Livestock Top Ram Sale in Ogden College of Southern Utah livestock topped five divisions at the National Ram Sale in Ogden Aug. 21, it was announced an-nounced by Dr. Wesley P. Lar-sen, Lar-sen, dean of the CSU School of Science. In a record showing, the' CSU rams took top honors for Suffolk single studs for a sale of $800, Rambouillet registered register-ed pen of three at $375 each, Targhee single stud at $170, Targhee registered pen of throe at $180 each, and Targhee Targ-hee range pen of five at $180 each. The Rambouillet registered pen was the top sale of all registered pens of all breeds. A CSU Rambouillet single stud selling for $730 was fourth highest in the show. The rams were bred and shown under the direction of Ronald Williams, manager of the CSU Valley Farm. CSU conducts an experimental sheep breeding project in cooperation co-operation with Utah State University. |
