Show Ram Baseball Nine Meets Redmen In Practice Game Baseball Coach Elliott Jordan Jor-dan informs us that his hopefuls hope-fuls will open the diamond season next. Monday afternoon after-noon at 3:30 at Cedar City in a game agaist the Cedar High Redmen for the first competition competi-tion of the season. Then that week end league play, will get under way, with the Parowan team to meet the Kanab High Cowboys in a game on the Parowan diamond. Coach Jordan states that he has a promising squad rounding round-ing into shape and has hopes of fielding a team that will win some games this spring. Doing the pitching for the Parowan nine will be Steve Kincaid, and Phil Burt, with Ken Farnsworth, a sophomore left hander likely to see action. ac-tion. Kincaid and Burt will rotate at other positions when not on the mound. Keith Stubbs and Les Top-ham Top-ham will do most of the catching catch-ing chores. Glenn Robinson will be at first base, Frank Burton at second, Burt at short stop, with the third base assignment as-signment indefinite, as are the outfielders. Jordan also states the he has six boys taking golfing, traveling to Cedar City each Tuesday and Thursday afternoons after-noons and using the Painted Hills course free of charge. |
