Show PTA Groups Sponsor Lectures on Child Delinquency Presidents of the Parowan High and Elementary Schools Parent Teacher Associations, announce that on Wed., April 3 at 8 p. m. a group of noted educators will be here to talk of the subject of "Recognizing "Recog-nizing Delinquency Signs in Juveniles". The meeting will be held in the multi-purpose room of the elementary school it is announced by Mrs. Jayne Bentley of the elementary and Mrs. Betty Stubbs of the high .school PTA. The officers feel that this is ' a very important subject and also feel that every parent who has children in school should be willing to take time to attend these lectures. Those who will be here to discuss these subjects are: Dr. Victor B. Cline of the U of U, Dr. Reed Morrell of BYU, Leone Smith, Dean Hepworth and John Turner of the U of U. Dr. Cline will give the opening op-ening address after which the time will be used for a question ques-tion and answer period. The PTA officials feel that the lectures lec-tures that have been held before be-fore have been very helpful to those who have attended and that is why they urgej all parents to be present. Mrs. Betty Stubbs also announces an-nounces that the annual election elec-tion to choose officers for the high school Parent Teacher Association will be held with the following persons named to vie for the various offices: For president-elect,, Renee Halterman and Mary Dawn Dalton; for secretary, Adele Decker and Marlene Burton; for board members, Maurine Williamson, Maytha Board-man, Board-man, Kay Wilkerson, Renee Fife, Aleen Orton and Marian Hyatt. Candidtees for vice president post are unknown. Mrs. Stubbs states that the high school PTA is sponsoring a drawing for a quilt, with the proceeds to go into the scholarship fund. The quilt is presently on display at Fen-ton's Fen-ton's Store. |
