CANNON John Quayle Cannon ilpolnted As CSU Coordinator Appointment of John Quayl Cannon, Jr. as Coordinator of Placement and Financial Aids at College of Southern Utah has been announced by Dr. Royden C. Braithwaite, CSU president. Mr. Cannon was born in Washington, D.C. and lived for some years in New Brunswick-, New Jersey. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Bates College in Lowrston, Maine, and a Master of Science degree in family relations from Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University. He is a member of the Na. tional Association of Student Personnel Administration and the National Council of Family Fam-ily Relations and is a qualified lecturer and counselor on marriage mar-riage and family relationships. Mr. Cannon has served in a number of positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints including bishop's bish-op's counselor, assistant to high priests group leader, and as a scout and explorer leader. He has also been active in the LDS athletic program. lie was a crew chief in the United States Army anti-aircraft and missle defense from 1954 to 1956. Prior to coming to Utah he was distribution analyst for Mobil Oil Co. in New York City. Mr. Cannon is jnarried to the former Susan Daniels of rtiverton, New Jersey. They are the parents of four children, Michael Clark 10, Dian 9, Martha Ann 6, and John Q. 3. |
