Show I V" i Cedar City Girl Scout Group Enjoys Day Camp Activities Day Camp Held By Cedar City Girl Scouts A very successful Day Camp was held at Wood's Ranch Recreation Rec-reation area from July 31 for Girl Scouts of Cedar City. The five-day event was attended at-tended by 29 Girl Scouts and 14 adult leaders. The concluding conclud-ing afternoon of camp was held at the Cedar City park where parents were invited and the girls were given awards earned over the five clay period. New Brownie Scouts, led by Sally Indgjer and Jenny Peters Pet-ers are: Deane Mackelprang, Kathy Weis, Robin Winterrose, Lorrie Jean Bulloch, Cathy Indgjer, Tamara Peck, Susan Wadsworth, Sue Ann Bonzo, Loi Barber, Lornell Bowler, Ann Reese, Roberta Peters, Elizabeth Cox, Jelene Stapley, and Debby Pretty. Girls flying up from Brownies Brown-ies to Junior Girl Scouts, led by Dorlene Parry, are Angie Parry, Diane MacCannon, Jill Goodwin, Tamara McDonongh, Julie Nelson, Linda Smith, and Tammy Sue Jolley. Junior Scouts receiving badges for their past year's accomplishments were: Lynn Mackelprang, Gayline Reese, Francis Smith and Nadine Ostler' is a new Junior Scout. This group is led by Emma Smith. Four Cadette Scouts advanced advanc-ed to Senior Scouts and it is quite an accomplishment for the gi;Is to advance this far in the program, leaders pointed out. The girls accomplishing the task were: Tina Esplin, Sue Olroyd, Shan Juvelin and Denise Terry. Two girls remain re-main in the Cadete Troop. They are Mary Ann Bradshaw and Ann Fenton. These two groups are led by Reta Esplin. For the Day Camp, Doris MacCannon was finance chairman chair-man and Reta Esplin was Camp Director. Laraine Esplin was Dixie Unit director. One girl, Sandra Esplin, also al-so enjoyed a two weeks' stay at Trefoil Ranch in Provo Canyon. Can-yon. Her sister, Tina Esplin, will return from the same ranch on August 19 where she is enjoying a horse-back pack trip. |
