ADAMS Brenda Chamberlain and Gordon Adams Married in St. George Temple Ceremony In a wedding ceremony that was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on Friday, July 28, Miss Brenda Chamberlain Cham-berlain and Gordon Adams of this city were united in marriage. mar-riage. President Rudger Atkin of the Temple officiated in the double-ring rites. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. K C. Chamberlain Chamber-lain and the bridegroom is a son of Pres. and Mrs. D. Watson Wat-son Adams. Following the wedding ceremony cere-mony the wedding party was entertained at a luncheon at the home of Mrs. Arvilla Day in Cedar City, who was assisted assist-ed by the parents of the bride groom and Mrs. Thelma M. Higbee. That evening the newly-married newly-married couple were honored at a reception in the Third Ward cultural hall, For her nuptials and reception the bride wore a floor length gown of nylon over taffeta, with long tapered sleeves and chapel train, all trimmed in lace. Her shoulder length veil was caught to a jeweled? headpiece and - she carried a bouquet of white stephanotis. Bridesmaids were Miss Kath leen Mitchell, Miss Annette Halterman and Miss Carol Chamberlain,; junior bridesmaids brides-maids were Alison and Vicki Chamberlain and flower girls were Nicole and Collette A-dams. A-dams. The bridesmaids wore dresses of olive green satin and the junior bridesmaids wore yellow satin, and all carried bouquets of tropicana roses. Standing as best man for the bridegroom was his brother, Rodney Adams and ushers were another brother, Richard Adams, and Jay Graff. The mothers of the bridal couple were dressed in white crepe dresses and wore corsages corsag-es of tropicana roses. Following the reception the young couple left for Las Vegas Ve-gas where Mr. Adams is employed em-ployed and where they will remain until the opening of school at BYU when they will move to Provo. Assisting at the reception were the following people. Greeting the guests was Mrs. Lapriel Day Lunt; gift bear-fs bear-fs were Randy Chamberlain, RiiKsfJl anri Steven Day; background back-ground music was furnished by Itha Mortensen and Mrs. Willis Robinson, and Sandra Lamoreaux was at the guest book. Presiding at the gift table ta-ble were Raeona M. Day and Shirley Joseph, assisted by Miss Kathy Orton and Miss Emily Dalton. Presiding at the serving table ta-ble were Druella Chamberlain, Alberta D. Morris and Arvilla Arvil-la H. Day. Kitchen hostesses were Cherie T. Day and LaRue Watson, with Helen C. Jones and Rue C, Jones and serving were the Misses Susan Day, Anngie Chamberlain, Marsha I Mitchell, Caroline Watson and Lori Robinson. Both are graduate of Parowan Paro-wan High school and the bride attended College of Southern Utah. The bridegroom bride-groom has filled an LDS mission mis-sion to Western Canada and has attended the BYU at Provo where he is also a member of the ROTC. |
