Show Family Pays Tribute To J. N. Messer On 82nd Birthday J. N. (Jay) Messer, was honored hon-ored on his 82nd birthday, Sunday, June 9, by members of his family. A family dinner at the Messer Mes-ser home was the highlight of thg celebration. In attendance were children, including Mr. and Mrs. Collins Rowley (Dorothy) (Dor-othy) of Mesa, Ariz.; Mr. and Mrs. John Messer, Las Vegas; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Messer, Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Rigby, a granddaughter, raised in the Messer home of Flagstaf, Ariz., and their families. fam-ilies. Also attending was Earl Messer, a brother, of Pasadena, Calif. A program by family members mem-bers was - presented - in-connection with the celetjjjetion. ; Born on June 9, 1889iiQi Im-lay Im-lay City, Mich., Messer came to Cedar City in April, 1919 and has resided here since. Initially he was a dry-land farmer in the area, later was employed by Dixie Power Company Com-pany and then went into the electrical contracting business and maintained farming interests. in-terests. lit married Sara Hamilton on November 20, 1928 in the St. George LDS Temple. |
