Show Fourth Brouier in Orton Family Joins Guard The Linford Orton family of Cedar City has made the Utah National Guard almost a family affair. Ia July of this year, Kenneth W. Orton was sworn in as a private priv-ate in Hq. & Hq. Battery of the 2d Battalion of the 222nd Artillery Artil-lery (Cedar City unit). rie was the fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. Linford Orton to join the unit. The four brothers hold ranks in the unit applicable to their time in service. Oldest of the orothers, Sterling, is a Sp. 5 in the fire direction center. He joined join-ed the Guard in Decembr, 1962. Raymond is also in fire direction direc-tion with the rank of Sp. 4, having hav-ing joined in February, 1964. Rodney holds the rank of Pfc. after joining in January, 1965, and he is in the survey section and he is in the survey section of the unit. Kenneth, the newest addition to th unit from the Orton Or-ton family will also join the survey sur-vey section. Kenneth will also serve a six-month six-month tour of active duty at a later date, officers of the guard indicated. |
