Show 'The Generations' of San Diego to Play at Record Rally in San Diego; they have performed perform-ed at the Hollywood Palladium and the band was a finalist in the nationwide Countdown USA contest and will compete in August in the Los Angeles Col iseum in the finals. In addition to their appearance appear-ance in Cedar City, "The Generations" Genera-tions" will make stops in St. George, Provo, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Logan in Utah. .mimlr 'rv- " 1 vv J The Cedar Stake MIA will sponsor a special Record Rally Monday, Aug. 2 beginning at 8 p. m. on the South Elementary Patio. The music for the evening will be provided by a fourpiece rock and roll band from San Diego, Calif., "The Generations." The group, partly LDS, is touring tour-ing six western states this summer sum-mer with a pepertoire of 60 current cur-rent top tunes. "The Generations" have won many rock and roll band contests con-tests in Southern California and come to this record rally in Cedar Ce-dar City highly recommended. All members sing lead and two and three part harmony on most songs, which gives the sound of a larger band. Chuch Pepitone, an outstanding outstand-ing performer on rhythm guitar, is the leader of the group with six years of experience on that instrument. Doug Latislaw, an excellent lead guitarist and versatile ver-satile musician, has been playing play-ing for three yearts. Errol Lison-bee Lison-bee is on bass and Wayne Ne-witt, Ne-witt, a veteran of two years is on the drums. "The Generations' who have played for junior high and high school dances extensively in the San Diego area, are known to have played for a four hour dance without repeating any songs. They were first place winners in March in competition with 85 bands at the Teen-A-Rama Show in the KCEQ Starmaker Contest "THE GENERATIONS". This popular musical group will participate in a special Record Rally to be staged by the Cedar and Cedar West Stakes Monday Night, Aug. 8. |
