Show Zion Park Evening Programs Planned Throughout Month Zlon National Park Naturalists plan a full schedule of evening programs and nature walks during dur-ing May, according to Superintendent Superin-tendent Frank Oberhansley. As the weather has remained cool, nightly illustrated programs are being presented Indoors at the visitor center auditorium. Talk subjects change nightly with geology, ge-ology, history, birds, wildlife, the National Parks, and Zion's back-country back-country being covered during the week. Daily nature walks, led by a park naturalist are being given giv-en on the Narrows, Emerald Pool, Watchman, and Scout's Lookout Trails. Mr. Oberhansley said that the Park Visitor Center and Museum is remaining open until 6 p. m. nightly to allow a heavier visitor vis-itor participation. It is intended this summer to offer a series of longer nature walks than has been offered for many years. Half-day trips are planned to Scout's Lookout and to the Watchman overlook. These two trails have been Included in the May on an experimental basis. |
