Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING After living in Nevada for two years, Mr. and Mrs. Bob R. Smith and two children have returned to make their home in Cedar City. Ci-ty. For the time being they are residing with Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Dar-win Nelson. Four ladies, Gae Moore, Lana Smith, Alice Holyoak and Row-ena Row-ena Ashdown won prizes at a plonchle session, with Toni Higbee Hig-bee as hostess. Gae Moore Joined Join-ed the group as a special guest. Spending the week end in Mln-ersville Mln-ersville with relatives were Mr. and Mrs. Kay Cummings. They were guests of Mrs. Cummings mother, Mrs. Keith Hollingshead. Mrs. Parson Webster has been in California for the past few weeks with her son Frances and daughter-in-law Carol Ann. Carol Ann has undergone complicated lung surgery and is now recovering. recover-ing. A stork shower was the subject sub-ject for a special get-together at the home of Carol Creel one evening even-ing last week, honoring Mrs. Kim (Louise) Jones. Parlor games and refreshments added to the evening even-ing for the guest of honor and others in attendance, Artis Watson, Wat-son, Carol Browning, Bonnie Jones, Lorraine Palmer, Linda McKinnon, Ofa Lillywhite, Joce-j Joce-j lyn Faux and Verla Berney. WE AK AVIS Two weeks ago Christie Brad-shaw Brad-shaw was the hostess for members mem-bers of the We Ak Avi club. She served refreshments to 14 members mem-bers and also presented a highly inieresting una educational lesson les-son concerning the early migrations migra-tions of the East Asian peoples and the part they played in the history of Central America. Thursday, May 7, Florence Car-don Car-don was the hostess to 15 club members who were entertained with a book review presented by Belle Webster. Mrs. Webster told the story of pioneering in the Oregon country, from a book by Victoria Case, entitled "A Finger in Every Pie." The hostess served a light luncheon before the lesson commenced. com-menced. Mrs. Ardella Ford was the honored hon-ored guest at a birthday social held April 27 at the home of Mrs. Elihu Whatcott. Helping Mrs. Ford celebrate were Sylvia Jones, Joan Baldwin, Sadtlie Baldwin, Afton Meldrum, Nellie Larson, Nellie Heywood and Lauretta Perry. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frances Condle have been their daughter, Sandra Strang and her son Kenneth of Billings, Montana. They spent part of last week visiting with the Condies and other relatives and friends. |
