Although Weber College still has two games remaining on Its schedule, against second and third place College of Southern Utah and Dixie Junior College, respectively, on Friday and Saturday Sat-urday evenings, they nevertheless neverthe-less could lose both games and not impair their firrt place ranking. However, to CSU and Dixie, the two remaining games In the conference will have a more far-reaching far-reaching ef'ect that a position in the Region One NJCAA tournament tour-nament to be held at Ogden on Mar. 4 and 5. CSU Broncos have a one game lead on the Rebels of St. George and both clubs will meet Weber and Ricks Colleges this week. CSU meets Ricks College on Thursday evening at the field-house, field-house, game time being .8 p. m., and they will tangle with the Wildcats from Weber Friday evening, same time, in the final ICAC encounter of the season. Dixie meets Ricks Friday evening eve-ning and Weber Saturday evening eve-ning at St. George. Outcome of this series will determine the southern division entry into the ?.JCAA playoff. Coach Cleo Petty and his Broncos Bron-cos with a one game lead over the Rebels are in the drivers seat, but they cannot let down in this series. A single win in the two game series vvould assure as-sure the Broncos of at least a tie for the southern division title; ti-tle; two games would put them in automatically, but should they lose both encounters and Dixie win both, the Rebels could pick up the title without a playoff. Three entries in the NJCAA Region playoff have already been decided with only the southern division of the ICAC undetermined. undeter-mined. Pairings have also been announced. Opening round would pit the southern division winner against Phoenix Junior College and Fort Lewis A. & M. of Idaho will meet Weber. Winners will meet for the champioshtp and the right to represent the west In the NJCAA NJ-CAA national finals at Hutchinson, Hutchin-son, Kan.
