Show Third Ward M-Men ShowWell In Church Tourney The Parowan Third Ward M-Men M-Men basketball team, after taking tak-ing a 71 to 55 licking on Tuesday Tues-day from the strong Westwood, team from southern California, has come back to win its next two games in the consolation bracket in hard-fought battles. In Wednesday's game with the Sugar City team, Parowan won by a 63 to 60 score in an overtime over-time and in a game which was played this, Thursday, morning at 11:30, Parowan again came 'up with a three-point 49 to 46 win, to go into the semi-finals in the consolation bracket In Tuesday's game with West-wood, West-wood, Parowan, playing without the services of Lowell Caldwell and Ronald Mortensen, who couldn't get away to go to Provo, made a good stand against the favored California outfit which featured several college players, but gradually dropped behind to finish 16 points in arrears of the victors. John Wood led the Parowan scoring with 13 points, David Or-ton Or-ton had 11, Roy Benson 10, Donald Don-ald Gurr got 8, Paul Johnson had 7 and Gale Stolk had 6. Four of the Westwood players hit in the double figures. In Wednesday's game with the Strong Sugar City team, the two were tied up at 16-aH at the first period rest. Sugar City led 32 to 25 at halftime, but Parowan went ahead 44 to 41 at the third quarter rest. The score was tied up at 54-all as the regulation time rah out, but Parowan went ahead to win 63 to 60 In the overtime. The game turned Into a scoring scor-ing duel between John Wood for Parowan and Glen Dalllng of Sugar Su-gar city with Wood winning 22 to . 21. Dalling fouled out in the, overtime and Wood hit three free throws for the final margin of j victory. Don Gurr got 16 and David Dav-id Orton 12 points for Parowan.
