Show Parowan Native Dies Following Operation Mack B. Thornton, 36, native and resident of Parowan for many ma-ny years, died Tuesday morning in a Salt Lake hospital of complications com-plications following an operation. opera-tion. Mack Billie Thornton was born here, a son of William E. and Evan Bentley Thornton, May 12, 1922 and was a resident of this city until he finished high school. He married Elaine Den-nosan Den-nosan July 22, 1942 in Las Vegas, Ve-gas, Nev. He was a veteran of World War II and recently has been living in Salt Lake Valley where he was a supervisor and painter for the Morton Salt Co. He was a member of the Magna First Ward of the LDS Church. Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Maxine and Julaine; a son, Michael, all of Saltair; his father, St. George; two brothers, broth-ers, Alphine Thornton, Las Vegas, Ve-gas, and Val B., Hawaii; three sicters, June Hobart, Las Vegas, Nev.;' Mrs. Lena Johnson, Redding, Red-ding, Calif.; Mrs. Marcla O'Brien, England. Funeral services will be held in Salt Lake City Saturday noon according to announcement made in Salt Lake papers. |
