Show Bronco Baseball Nine Opens Defense Of Crown Against Snow Coach Boyd Adams and the College of Southern Utah baseball base-ball nine will take up the defense de-fense of the southern division crown of the Intermountaln Collegiate Col-legiate Athletic Conference this afternoon, Thursday, when theyi tangle with the Snow Badgers of Ephralm. ; Friday afternoon the Broncos will meet the Carbon College Eagles on the local field with game time set at 2:30 p. m. The Snow-CSU game was originally ori-ginally scheduled for Saturday afternoon but was moved up to the Thursday date to eliminate a conflict with an Invitational track and field meet on the Snow College campus at Ephralm on that day. Coach Adams Indicated that Terry Nelson, returning right hander from last season's southern south-ern division championship team, wilt he caiieu upon for starling duties. Nelson started slow and had a bout with the flu before he be-gan be-gan to show his potential. He will carry the heavy load for the Broncos this season. 1 Pitching status for Friday's game will not be determined until after the Snow game today, Coach Adams stated. If it is not necessary to call on left handed Tod Feterson of Newton, a freshman, fresh-man, he may get the starling call Friday, Adams Indicated. Hitting on the Bronco squad: has sharpened considerably the coach Indicated and defensively the squad is getting stronger all the time.
