Show Natives of Utah Get Promotion at Columbia Iron Mines Two Utahns, Ivan J. Liechty and Robert Rex Dimlck. have received re-ceived promotions at the Columbia Colum-bia Iron Mining Company, G. D. MacDonald, general superintendent superinten-dent - iron mines of the United State Steel Corporation subsidiary, subsid-iary, announced today. Mr. Liechty. new field engineer engi-neer for the mining company, is a native of Manti. Utah. He attended Brigham Young University Univer-sity and the University of Kentucky, Ken-tucky, and is a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Irior to his present appointment. Mr. Liechty served with the company's com-pany's raw materials exploration department at Geneva Works near Provo. He and his wife, Barbara, Bar-bara, have two daughters, Cath erine ana Joan. Mr. Dlmick has been appointed appoint-ed development geologist. Born In Wttis. Utah, he is a 1951 graduate of Brigham Young University Uni-versity with a bachelor of science sci-ence degTee In geology. He served serv-ed in the U. S. Armv from 1951 to 1953. and joined Columbia Iron Mining Company's ceoloRy department in October, 1953. Mr. Dimlck and his wifp. Barbara have two sons, Darrell and Dennis. |
