Show I NEWS NOTES FROM SUMMIT Mrs. Donna Dcnrenport Most of our townspeople attended at-tended Stake Conference in Par-oan Par-oan over the week end where J. Frank Dalley was sustained as a member of the Parowan Stake High Council. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet had as their house guest for two days last week, a young man from Laos. He was one of the 20 educators from foreign countries coun-tries visiting the Iron County schoo'. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Peterson and two sons of Las Vegas, New visited over the week end at the home of Mrs. Peterson's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Madsen. A delicious lunch was prepared prepar-ed and served at the close of the Relief Society Work meeting Tuesday noon by Mrs. Jean Farrow, Far-row, Mrs. Lois Farrow, Mrs. Elva Farrow and Mrs. Lucy Green. Week end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Matheson were William F. Burns and daughter Sherry Ann of Sunset, Utah. Arden Richards, his daughter, Myra and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Leona Smith, went to Salt Lake City Friday to visit with Mrs. Richards before she entered the hospital Sunday afternoon. The Richard's daughter, Linda Kay came from Lander, Wyo,. to spend the week end with them. Mrs. Smith and Myra returned home Sunday but Mr. Richards will remain until his wife is released re-leased from the hospital. Miss Francis Farrow was here from Mercury, Nev., to spend the week end with her folks, the Raymond Farrows. The Elders of our ward and their wives are sponsoring a chili and spaghetti dinner, Saturday evening at the church house and are asking for contributions to aid one of their Quorum members. |
