Show Miss Gaylynn Sherratt, Norman R. Childs Exchange Vows in Double Ring Ceremony United in marriage during a double ring ceremony Saturday, November 8, were Miss Gaylynn Sherratt and Narmon K. Childs. Bishop Lowell Sherratt performed perform-ed the services while close friends and members of the fa-' fa-' mily witnessed. Following the six o'clock ceremony cere-mony guests gathered at the small ball room at the CSU Student Stu-dent Center to honor the couple during a wedding social. Gaylynn was adorned in a wedding gown of her own crea- tion styled from white brocade with a velveteen over-Jacket attached at-tached with pearls. White fur trimmed the belle shaped sleeves of the jacket. To complete the wedding costume, a circular shoulder length veil fell from a crown of white fur. She carried a bouquet of orange carnations car-nations and nyracantha berries arranged with brown ribbon streamers. Chosen theme for the wedding was "Green Sleeves," an orlgl-1 nal Idea inspired from the Shak- spearean festival and carried out in the costumes of the bride's attendant, decorations and dress of assistants. Attending the new Mrs. Childs were Deanna Norton, Lydia Morton, Mor-ton, Bonnie FreiJ Florence Enle-stead Enle-stead and Judy Sherratt. Neices of the bridegroom were junior attendants. Each wore head pieces pie-ces of pyracantha berries and were dressed in deep green dresses dress-es with full sleeves trimmed in fur. Best man was Roger Morton while Earl Hlnley, Ned Kohler and Keith Roberts served as ushers. ush-ers. Ring-bearer was Stacy Whit-more Whit-more and Train-bearer was James Whitmore, both nephews of the bride. Serving as host for the affair was Bessie Heaton. At the guest book was Carol Lee Wyatt. Decorating the ball room were garlands of evergreens accented oy orange berries. Photos of the Shakespearean festival were on display from Zion photo. Quaint trousseau items collected by the bride were also on display. Refreshments were served from L-shaped tables with brown and orange decor. The serving girls wore costumes depicting times of Shakespeare. To accent the unusual un-usual theme an original cake symbolizing the bride and groom was decorated at the apex with a book dublicate of the Bible open to the quotation from Ruth. Entertaining ..ie newlyweds and honored guests during the social were ruth Marie Mitchell presenting piano hi-lights, Re-veau Re-veau Whitmore and Rowena Morton Mor-ton who gave a tribute to Gaylynn Gay-lynn and Norman from "Some bay My Prince Will Come" and "Memories," Drew Moren reported report-ed their early days at the Col-life Col-life of Southern Utah to the tune of the school song. Also Included Includ-ed on the program was Ruth Marie BdUer who sang "Always" the tl erne song of "Blyth Spirit," which was the couple's first school play together. Thirty members of the Sigma Zeta Phi fraternity sang the Sweetheart Song to the bride whom they had chosen as Sweetheart Queen at the CSU. A reading "How to Handle a Woman" was given by Fred Adams. Barbara Caddie gave advise to the couple directly direct-ly from the words of Shakespeare. Shake-speare. The program was brought to a close with the playing of I "Green Sleeves" as guests enjoyed en-joyed ballroom dancing. |
