Show Carter Appointed To Continue Club Leadership i . i v A - - NEAL CARTER J Neal Carter, local groceryman and active member of the Cedar j City Kiwanis Club, was elected to serve as president of that civic organization at an election meet-j ing held Monday evening. Carter at the present time Is serving as, president of the group, a posl- tion he assumed following the death of Burns K. Sherratt, elect, ed president for the current year. Carter and other elective offi-cers offi-cers of the Kiwanis Club will assume their positions In January Janu-ary of 1958 and serve throughout the year. Named as vice president was Kllen Rollo. The position of secretary sec-retary Is appointive by the president. pre-sident. Six Kiwanlans were named to the board of directors, three for two year terms and three for single year terms. Two-year board members named Include Rex Harris, Norman Heaton, and Therol McArthur. Single-year members of the board will be Charles' Rasmussen, Lowell Sherratt Sher-ratt and Elwyn Halterman. Completing the board of directors direc-tors will be two hold over members, mem-bers, including waiter Lowe and Joe Banks. Officers of the Kiwanis Club are elected at an early date to give them a chance to participate partici-pate in Kawanls International's unique training conference system sys-tem prior to taking office. Under the training system newly elected officers of the Utah-Idaho District and other districts of the United States participate in a training session. They return to the District and each of the elective officers of the individual clubs Is called into a district training session under the direction of the district officers. offi-cers.
