Show Lane Merryweather To Serve On Canada Mission Friends and relatives have been Invited to attend a farewell fare-well testimonial in honor of Lane Merryweather, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl R. Merryweather. prior to his departure to the Eastern East-ern Canadian Mission field. Testimonial will be held in the Cedar Third Ward Sunday, Sept. 29 at 8:15 p. m. Merryweather will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, Oct. 9, in preparation for his mission. Lane is a graduate of Che Cedar Ce-dar City High School and last year attended the College of Southern Utah. He has been associated as-sociated with music at these schools as well as in the community com-munity and at the Utah Parks lodges where he has worked during the summer months. While in high school he served as president of the band and was student band conductor for the concerts. One of the highlights of his career ca-reer was when he conducted the high school band in a concert with Sigurd Rascher, world lam-ous lam-ous saxophonist, two jvars ago Bishop Austin Keywood will preside at the meeting and Max Heap will conduct. Speakers will inc.ude George I). Grimshaw Waldon Isom and Eldon Jone? with remarks by Bishop Heywooi! and a response from Lane. Bonnie Jean Riddle will give s vocal solo and Mr. and Mrs. Howard How-ard Wood will perform a duet a! , the event. Called on Missions ' . f l,''' , V .
