Show Cedar Seminary Graduation Thursday Night Ninety-one three-year students and 58 four-year students of the Cedar LDS Semniary will receive diplomas in graduation exercises to be conducted Thursday evening even-ing at the Cedar West Stake House at 8 p. rrt. Boyd D. Beagley, principal of the seminary extended an invitation invita-tion for friends and relatives to attend the exercises which will feature students from the graduating grad-uating classes in words and music mu-sic to a theme of '"Garden of Life." Address to the graduates will be made by Frank D. Day, President Presi-dent of the Cedar West Stake, a member of the District LDS Board of Education, and director of the LDS Institute for students attending College of Southern Utah. Student speakers and their subjects, include: Scott Jones Lewis, "The Missionary System"; Sys-tem"; Cheryl Brown, "Temple Marriage"; Janet Higbee, "Humility"; "Hu-mility"; Brent F. Hunter, "Words of Wisdom." Sharon Lee Esplin v.12! give a reading entitled, "I Knew Joseph Smith." Mul'si selections will include a vocal trio composed of Pamela Petty, Fonette Osborne, and Su-zane Su-zane Sargent, singing "Who Made The Mountain," and a vocal vo-cal quartet composed of Donald J. Marchant, David S. Cooper, Scott J. Lewis and Louis R. Hahne, will sing "Brightly Beams Our Father's Mercy." Program narration will be by Mary Ann White with musical background provided by Verlene Kelsey. Invocation will be by Meryl Arns with Marsha Vork-ink Vork-ink giving the address of welcome. wel-come. John R. Logan will give the benediction. Presentation of the graduates will be made by Principal Beagley and diplomas for successlul completion com-pletion of the seminary requirements, require-ments, will be made by Elihou A. Whatcott. Cedar Stake President, Presi-dent, and president of the District Dis-trict LDS Board of Education. Another special feature of the program will be the announcement announce-ment of the recipient of the "Hea-ton "Hea-ton Memorial Scholarship." Recipient Re-cipient will be announced by Allen Al-len Heaton. The scholarship is an annual presentation of the family. |
