Show National to Kanab, American to Nephi For Tournament Play Cedar City Little League All-Stars All-Stars will move into the first round of the national tournament tourna-ment schedule this week end with teams traveling to Nephi and to Kanab. Cedar City National League will travel to Kanab to enter a four-team event beginning Friday Fri-day afternoon at 2:30 p. m. The American League All-Stars will travel to Nephi where they will also play at 2 p. m. Each tournament has four teams and the winner of each will advance to the State Little League tournament to be held at Salt Lake City and hosted by Rosecrest league the following I week. I At Kanab the Nationals will meet the All-Stars from Pan-1 gultch In the opening round of i play. The second game of the day is slated for 5 p. m. and will pit West Zion (representing thej Hurricane area) and host Tri-1 City league, made up of teams from Kanab, Orderville and Fre-donia, Fre-donia, Ariz. Saturday games will be held at 2:30 and 5 p. m. with first day losers meeting at 2:30 and the Vt i Ti ii t T a ITictiiig iO uif iOUl- nament championship at 5 p. m. to determine the winner and representative re-presentative to the State Tournament. Tour-nament. The American League team will open Friday against host Nephi League and that will be followed by a game between St. George Sunrise and Fillmore League. Saturday lasers will play at 2 and winners at 5 p. m. Two other district tournaments will be held over the week end in the state with the winners from the four events slated to meet In the State meet at Salt Lake City. Milford will host a tournament Including teams from Beaver, St. George Sunset and the Lincoln County All-Stars from Pioche, Callente and Panaca Nev. A three-team tournament is I slated at Sugar House Including host Southeast, Rosecrest of Salt I Lake City and Dugway, |
