Snow measurements made at the Yankee and the Ed Ward Flat by the Soil Conservation Conserva-tion Service this week, show an increased snow and water storage stor-age at those places this year over last. Measurements at the Yankee showed 26.6 Inches of snow with water content of 8.4 Inches the first of the week. Last year water wa-ter content of snow there was only 5.4 inches. At Ed Ward Flat there were 19.4 inches of snow with 3.9 Inches ot water. Last year the snow coyer there held only 2.9 Inches of mow. While this is much better than last year, it was way below the 1958 water storage and only 75 of the normal water content at those two places during the past 16 years. |
