Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING WEAK AVIS Another in an outstanding Eeries of historical reviews was presented at the We Ak Avl club social last week. Giving the lesson les-son to members of the group was Mrs. Lanell Lunt. Mrs. Lunt told facts of interest based on "The Etruscans," the people who lived from 800 to 250 B. C. and ruled Rome. Following th vpr. bel report, Mrs. Lunt showed slides of the areas in Italy taken several years ago when she and her husband toured that country. Members of the organization met at the home of Mrs. Lorin Miles who served as hostess for the event. , At the Eugene Palmer home, the Palmer family greeted Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Snow and young son Richard who arrived Thursday Thurs-day for the holiday. Entertaining Entertain-ing D. J., lone, and Collin Mc-Murphy Mc-Murphy were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Webster and family. The . Mc-Murphvs Mc-Murphvs were here from their home in Salt Lake City. Other out-of-town guests Included In-cluded Miss Gayle Knell of Salt Lake City who enjoyed Saturday and Sunday with friends and Mr. and Mrs.. Guy Seals and five children of American Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Seals and family visited with Mrs. Seal's parents Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Wlnterrose. An- impressionable three week vacation was recently complete for Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Johnson. Alta and Mr. Johnson made an extensive tour of the south and northwest traveling through Mesa, Me-sa, Tucson, Ariz., Nogales, San Diego and various California areas. In Hermosa Beach the Johnsons visited with Mrs. Johnson's John-son's sister. They also visited with relatives in Klamath Falls, Ore., and Reno, Nev. Fernley, Nev., was the destination destina-tion on April 6th for Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smith and Mrs. Darwin Nelson who took advantage of an opportunity to travel. They enjoyed visiting In Fernley with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Smith and two children. A portion of the week end they spent sight-seeing in Reno and Fallan, Nev. During their stay they also visited with former residents, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Wade and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Clark. I |
