Show Ronald L. Asay Called By Church To Fill Berlin Mission it,' ' ' 1 7 RONALD LEE ASAT Ronald Lee Asay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervll D. Asay has received re-ceived a call from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to serve a two and one-half year mission, it was announced this week. Asay has been called to serve In the Berlin Mission field. A testimonial will be held in his honor Sunday, April 21 at the Cedar First Ward Chapel. Time for the testimonial is 5:30 p. m. Friends and relatives are cordially cor-dially invited to attend. Speakers at the testimonial will be Clomont Adams, Bp. Verl Asay, an uncle ol t!ie missionary with remarks ly Bishop Lowell Sherratt, pare it.; o ; se !i ;s;n-ary ;s;n-ary and a response by Asay. Special musical n '.minors will include a selection by Verla, Kay and Sherrio Asay; and a piano solo by Nila Hall. The missionary is a graduate of the Cedar High School and has attended College of Southern Utah. Active in the church, he was serving as Age Group Counselor of the First Ward YMMIA at the time of his call, In addition to serving as secretary of his Priest Quorum. Asay was also the recipient of the coveted Duty to God Award. He will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City on Monday, May 13 and will leave, via air, the following week for the mission mis-sion field. |
