Show LETTERMEN'S CLUB DESERVES PRAISE The Lettermen's Club at Cedar City High School, composed of students of the school who have won letters in some sport at the school, deserve a lot of credit for a worthwhile and well handled project in the stapling of the first Junior High School Track and Field Meet in this part of the state. By undertaking the staging of such a meet, the Let-termen Let-termen provided the opportunity for Junior high students to gain practical competitive experience in a wholesome activity that is perhaps the very best type of physical participation par-ticipation for yougsters of this age. Since no opportunity has been provided for junior high students, the youngsters of schools of this part of the state have in the past gone into high school without prior experience and with very little training. It is hoped that this event will be continued and that more schools of the area will take advantage of the opportunity offered by it. In addition to providing a worthwhile activity the Lettermen should also be highly complimented for the manner in which they conducted the meet. It was conducted con-ducted as efficiently and smoothly as any track meet we have seen at any school. |
