Helicopter mall service on an experimental basis Is started In Brooklyn as the postonice department supervises the landing of this helicopter mail service plane called Hat in an empty lot. The helicopter came from LaGuardia field, shortcuttlng the usual mail routes and shearing many hours from previous maU delivery times. Future plans of the postofflce department call for extensive development and use of helicopter mail service.
