Show OUR I SCHOOLS HIGH SCHOOL Reporters: Susanne and Lila Rae Basketball The girls' basketball tournament tourna-ment began at the high school last week. The tournament is a process of elimination. All the girls taking physical education are participating. So far two games have been played. The first game the "Giants" won from the "Tin Pans". In the second game played the "Hoosier Hot-shots" Hot-shots" beat the "Papooses". The "Fowlers" beat the "suer Suds". Graduation Committees The student graduating committees com-mittees have been chosen. They are as follows: program, Tom Cardon, Carolyn Pace, Gail Brad-shaw, Brad-shaw, Beverly Brunson; decorations, decora-tions, Elaine Jepson, JoAnn Rollins, Rol-lins, Albert Lundell, Melvin Con-die, Con-die, Jay Prisbrey; marching, James Watson, Colleen Perkins; ushers, girls organization. Junior Prom The high school junior prom was held April 8, 1949 in the high school gymnasium. The hall was beautifully decorated to the theme "Long Ago and Far Away". It was decorated In six shades, ranging from deep purple to light pink. In the center of the celling cell-ing was a big lantern of fuchla and pink. Around the sidesl t was composed of the six shades and formed scallops. At one end of the room was a Japanese mural. The orchestra stand had a large fan in back of It. The music stands had Japanese writing on them. The prom was headed by David Dav-id Endsley, chairman; Norma Edwards, assistant; decorating was In charge of Barbara Green, chairman, and Don Knight, as- slstant. The assembly was headed head-ed by Donald Mosdell, chairman, and Bonnie Hlgbee, assistant. |
