Show Chairman Announces Plans For 1917.March Of Dimes Campaign Elloyd Marchiint, county chairman chair-man of the March of Dimes Committee, Com-mittee, announces that final preparation pre-paration has been made for the 1947 enmpa'gn. A conmiit.ee meeting meet-ing was held Tuesday night where final plans and committee appj nt-ments nt-ments we.e made. They were as follows: Publicity, Sheldon Olds; House to House Canvass, Jaycee-Ette Club; Activities, Carol Brown and Norman Heaton; Public Schools. J. C. Haws and Morris Buhanan; Theatres, John Ruwberry; Men's organizations, Joe Faklcr; Women's organizations, Mrs. Wayne Wojd; Dances, Frank Milne; Advisor, Morris Mor-ris Roberts; Junior Chamber Advisors, Ad-visors, Rex Chrlstensen and Maylln Max! eld; Parowan Chairman Milton Hyat.; B. A. C. Theron Ash-croft Ash-croft and Twain Tlppetts. The official date of the 1947 Infantile In-fantile Paralysis March of Dimes I campaign is from January 15 to January 31. The tentative goal has been set at $2,000, compare I to the $1600 collected in the 1943 campaign. Plans for the campaign are as follows: 1. A house to house canvas to be made In Cedar City by the Jaycee-Ettes Jaycee-Ettes Club. A goal of $1.00 per family has been set. 2. Contribution cans to be placed plac-ed in all business houses. 3. Collection of contributions to be'made at both theatres. 4. Contests among the school students by grades for greatest contributions. A free movie to be given to all those who participate 5. Special basketball game and boxing matches to be held with all intake going into funds of campaign. cam-paign. 6. Three dance3 to be held on January 30th. One of these w 11 be a semi-formal to be held in the Escalante Hotel, another will be an old-time dance In the First Ward recreation' hall, "hd also a teenage teen-age group dance in one of the schools. At the dances two radios and a pair of sk is will be given away. All the money contributed in the March of Dimes Is for a good cause Fifty per cent of all contributions received remains in Iron County to a'd our own victims of Infantile Paralysis.
