Show REGULATIONS CHANGED ON ARMY MEAT PURCHASES Western sheep interests will be Interested in the announcement by the Quartermaster Corps, which buys all of the meat used by the Army, that lamb carcasses weighing weigh-ing from 30 to 60 pounds, or standard stand-ard cuts from carcasses within this weight range, will be accepted for issue or sale to troops. This order, effectively immediately immediate-ly and until further notice, appreciably appreci-ably raises the top limit of weights acceptable on Army contracts frcn the 30 to 40 pound range effective prior to this new order, but dors not apply to lamb carcasses or cuts purchased for sale through Army retail markets. For this type of distribution, dis-tribution, the 30 to 40 pound limits continue in effect. |
