Show A social In honor of Maria Platl Munford was held Thursday afternoon after-noon at the Relief Society Building Build-ing by the Relief Society and Y. L. M. I. A. organization of this Ward. In the past she had served as President of each of the two organizations. A pleasant afternoon after-noon was spent In games, readings and music. Lunch was served and the guest of honor was presented with a gift from each organization Pvt. Norman Hulct is home on furlough after six months training train-ing at Camp Roberts, California. Oeorge A. Kibble, husband of Mrs. Hope Gillies Kibble, arrived hew Sunday night from Alameda, California, Cal-ifornia, where he has spent the past four months attending and completing a course cf study at the U. S. Maratlme Officers school. He will return to active duty after a week at home. Mrs. Albert Harrison and family spent a week visiting in New Harmony Har-mony while he husband was on a business trip to California. Mrs. Virginia Knell Dahl and family are here visiting with her mother,' Mrs. Frank Knell. Farmers are working early and laU harvesting the first crop of alfalfa, which is below average in yield. .
