Show Newcastle Ward Conference held here Sunday Sun-day was grectly enjoyed. The Stake Presidency as well as several othnr stake Priesthood officers were in 1 attendance. David Tullis. son of Mr. and Mrs. John Tullis, who is a member of i tiie merchant Marines, has been home on a short furlough. He was mi't here by his sister, Mrs Alonao S. ndstrom and family from Eureka, Eure-ka, and two brothers, Jerome Tullis of Provo and Sterling Tullis ol Cedar City.. He has returned to San Pedio, California to report foi duty. J. T Forsyth sustained a painful pain-ful Injury several days ago, when he slipped and fell from a shea on which he was working. He feh into a pile of logs, breaking his leg. A h.rge number of our townspeople towns-people attended and supported the Parowan Stake Fiesta at Cedar City March 9th. Mr and Mrs. D. Fred Tullis and Katherine Gillies of Las Vegas' were Sunday visitors at the home of R. M. Gillies. Nflda Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Earl Clark, who has been seriously ill since ' Christmas time is slowly recovering. Mrs. Norma Thomas of Enterprise Enter-prise spent Sunday visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A, C. Christensen. Mr. Thomas Tullah of Alberta, Can. da, brother-in-law of Mrs Amy Knell has .'pent the past week .isiting with Mrs. Knell and family Mr. and Mrs. Murray Harrison, who have spent the past few months In Cedar City have movec, home again. Mrs. C. E. Hart has gone to Salt Lake City to receive medical care following a major operation which was recently performed at the Iron County Hospital. The Misses Mary, Ruby and Maria Piatt of Modcna were visitors nt their home here this week, C. J. Erickson Is recovering slowly slow-ly but satisfactorily from the injuries in-juries he received duiing haying season last summer. |
