Show 'itody Of Fenton. M. Dalley Buried In Military Cemetery I Mr. and Mrs. HiUnin Dalley, whose son, Lt. Fenton M, Dalley, was reported killed in action In Italy on April 14. 1944. are in receipt re-ceipt or a letter from Major Marshall Mar-shall C. Strenger. of the Air Corps .unit with which Fenton served, reporting re-porting that the body hnd been .transferred to a military cemetery. The Ma.'or stated that hope was held that some members of the 'crew may have survived, but apparently ap-parently none have been found. He reported that the plane that Fen-,ton Fen-,ton was piloting was seen by crew , members of adjacent aircraft to go down and crash several miles north of the target, after having I sustained hits from defensive anti-I anti-I aircraft fire, I Tne 'ftter continues as follows: I "Your son's body has been disinterred dis-interred from a temporary grave location, which I presume had been prepared by the enemy 'or people of that section of enemy (Occupied Italy, and has been re-burled re-burled In a Military cemetery somewhere some-where In central Italy. A cross has! J been erected over the grave, and the grave shall receive perptual core' jand attention In accordance with! military practice. "Your son's exemplary devotion to duty and skill were an Inspira-1 Hon to the men serving with him. and with his passing this organization organiza-tion lost a courageous officer and an excellent combat pilot . His continuous con-tinuous demonstration of professional profes-sional skill and unfailing valor throughout eighteen combat missions mis-sions against the enemy had caused caus-ed his fellow pilots and crew members mem-bers to hold him In the highest esteem."
