Show Future Farmers of South Utah Plan Livestock Exhibits Clarence Lamoreaux, Chairman of the general committee of the Southern Utah Livestock Show, reports re-ports that the committee has assurance as-surance from County Agricultural Agents and Smith-Hughes teachers that 4-H Club and Future Fa"m-r Fa"m-r exhibits of beef from, Beaver, Iron, Washington, Kane, Garfield, Piute and Sevier Counties. According to Mr. Lamoreaux livestock exhibits will Increase 25 per cent In number over exhibits of last year's show. Not only will the number of exhibits be greatly increased but the quality of the exhibits will be Improved this year due to more adequate feeding and fitting of the livestock In preparation prepara-tion for the show. Breeders of pure-bred b'ef cattle, cat-tle, sheep, and swine In all of the Southwestern Counties of the state have been contacted and the show management has been a,ssuirj by th so men that some Very high quality pure-bred livestock will be available at the show for purchase by 4-H Club members and Future Farmers for project animals. According to Mr. Lamoreaux the purpose for which the livestock show was Instituted - - namely to Improve the quality of commercial breeds of livestock In the area - -Is being achieved to a very grad-Ifylng grad-Ifylng degree. According to present Indications this year's 4th. Annual Southern Utah Livestock Show will greatly surpass anything ever held In Southern Utah by way of a livestock live-stock exhibit. The show management manage-ment feels confident that with the continued whole-hearted support of Southern Utah people this show can easily achieve a place of first importance among livestock shows of the state. |
