Show Local Men Report For Duty Under Selective Service A group of Iron County men left Cedar City this morning to report for military service, filling part of Selective Service. Others answering the county's call for men under the same call had transferred to other boards for Induction. The call was for thirteen men, but only twelve men have reported, one of them, Clifton J. Hulet of Newcastle, having been given a thirty day delay of Induction. Dr. L. Wayland Macfarlane, who Is already serving with the Army Medical Corps, was listed as one of group to be credited to the county during ,August. Leo Esplln of Cedar Ce-dar City, who had volunteered for induction, was among the group, which also Included Yamato Izu. Robert J. and Raymond S. Ishl-matsu, Ishl-matsu, brothers, of Cedar City, Narlo Iwata of Newcastle, Carl Lowder and Russell L. Guymon of Parowan and Boyd Hulet Lawrence Lawr-ence of Summit. Iwata had made a special appeal ap-peal to the state board for d ferment, fer-ment, but the state board referred the case back to the local board, nnd his Request for deferment was again denied. Frank Nabaru Klada was .i have r ported but induction was postponed post-poned pending the outcome of an appeal for deferrment. Delbert Lloyd Ralphs, registered at Cedar City, transferred to Boston. Bos-ton. Mass.. for Induction; Forrest Hunter of Cedar City transferred to California: and Ryuchi Hirasc of Cedar City transferred to Montana. Mon-tana.
