Show McLeese Tells Of 1 Post-War Road Plans State and national plans for th construction of super-highways a Post-War projects were discussed a the Rotary Cliu meeting Tuesda; by Roy McLeese, District Road E'n gineer. Mr. McLeese pointed out that the ill now trfore Congress, In Its present form, provides for six North and South highways and two from the East to the West over the nation, na-tion, and stated that Utah has already al-ready laid plans for the Post-War nrn'iTls. nnd Rncinenrs hnvp car ried tlie preliminary preparations as far as possible. Utah's plans, he said, calls fot the construction of the Super-highway on a 300 foot right-of-way along the approximate route of highway 01, with a four-lane highway In the more populated areas and a two-lane two-lane road in the niore thinly settlec areas of the state. Speaking of the route the highway would take through this part of the state, Mr. McLeese said the highway would pass Just west of the cities of Beaver and Parowan, and pass through Cedar City at Eighth West street. He stated that all surveys would be completed and in readiness for the start of work lmmedlatelly after the close of the war. Reed H.
