Idol of all the local boxing fans, covered himself with glory Monday August 4, when he met Jimmy Best, highly-rated colored fighter, at Billings, Montana. Mon-tana. "Ar," after putting up a superb fight, won the decision 0:1 a technical knockout In the fifth round. Tills Is the first time Best has been" stopped In 87 fights during dur-ing which time he has met such fighters as Jackie Burke, Saferno Garcia, Al Hostek and R. J. Lewis. Another spectacular fight on the card at Billings last Monday was the battle between R. J. Lewis and Billy Bengal of Detroit. Lewis emerged emer-ged victorious from the encounter only to be challenged by Spilsbury. It Is expected that a fight will be arranged at Billings between Lewis and Spilsbury in the near future, although no definite date as yet has been announced.
