Show Elias Leigh Named To Head Local Post Of American Legion Elias Leigh was named Commander Com-mander of the Cedar City Post No. 74 of the American Legion at the annual election of officers held Friday Fri-day evening in the armory building. Mr. Leigh, who acted as second Vice-Commander of the past durini? the past year, succeeds V'ergene Slmklns as Commander. Other officers elected Friday evening include: C. L. Corry, first vice-commander; Durham Morr;s, stjeond vkie-commander; L. C. Miles, adjutant; Guy c. Tucko-, finance officer; Elvid Williams, chaplain; Merle Gllxson, service officer; of-ficer; L. C. Miles, Historian; Ervin DuStln, Sergoant-at-anns; Blaine Beteasen, chairman of the cluld welfare committee; S. C. Lamb, alerte officer; G. R. Parry, chairman chair-man of Boys' State committee; Francis Middleton, J. M. Brown, and P. E. Anderson, executive comm.t-tee. comm.t-tee. Retiring officers include, besides Mr. Slmklns, J. E. Warren, adjutant adju-tant ; M. D. Arns, finance officer; George Grlmshaw, chaplain; and Mack Naegle, sergeant-at-arms. |
