A large crowd of the fun loving 4 young folks were in attendance and each participated in a jolly 4r:"1 A good time. ji Saturday night the" friends Vj and relatives of Geo. A. Mitch- 1 ell were entertained at the home I of Walter C. Mitchell .in cele- bration of , his thirty-fourth I birthday. i Tuesday evening, Miss Eva x Adams entertained at her home ' a large number of guests; the entertainment consisted of card j ( and other appropriate games. An excellent banquet was also served. Monday night the M. I. A. of Parowan gave a weight dance. The young men drew for the ladies; they were then to weigh them and pay one half cent per pound. The lady was then to be his partner for the evening. Mr. E. L. tJlark has resigned his position as president of the Co-op. M. & M. Co. and Mr. Wilford Day has been placed in his stead. Mr. Clark was re-. re-. tained as a member of the store board. The matter of filling the vacancy of vice-president formerly occupied by Mr. Day, , was deferred until another meet- ing. Oscar M.Lyman was chosen to run the Co-op M. & M. Co. -! mill tor the coming year. ' 'V' - The time of the regular Sun- i day afternoon service last Sun- day was taken up in honoring " "', ' , the memory of the Prophet Joseph Smith. "" Meeting opened by the choir, and congregation singing, "An $ngel from on High." prayer vyas qfferqd by D. A. Matheson, J phojr and congregation then I sang, "Praise to the man Yho Conimunpd with Jehovah," JDIpanpr Guynian read the Christmas greeting of the church authorities tP the pepole. Dr. McGregor spoke for an hour on the lifo and labors of Joseph Smith. Meeting closed by the choir and congregation singing, "We Thank Thee 0 God For a J) " Prophet; prayer was offered by I James N.
